Photoshop: Sonic effect

Step 1

Create a new photoshop document size 400x400px, with white backgorund.

Step 2

Then, create a two new layers.

Step 3

Select the first layer, take the Eliptical Marquee Tool (M) and in the top left side create the circular selection and fill it with black color.(While you're making the selection, hold down Shift key to get the symmetrical selection).



Step 4

Select the second layer, take the Polygonal Lasso Tool (L) and create the selection like is is shown on the picture below and fill it whit black color.



Step 5

On the third layer create the selection like we have done for the first layer, but set it vice by comparison with the first layer. See the picture below.



Step 6

Now, we will add outer glow on every layer.



The first and the third layer 60px, and second layer 100px size.



Step 7

To connect the all layers in one, Choose: Layer > Merge Visible.

Step 8

Choose Filter > Distort > Zig Zag, and set the options from the picture below.





Step 9

Press D key on the keyboard to restart the color.

Step 10

Create a new layer and apply the following filters on it.

Clouds
Filter - Render - Clouds

Mosaic
Filter - Pixelate - Mosaic
(Cell size 15 square)

Find Edges
Filter - Stylize - Find Edges

Difference clouds
Filter - Render - Difference clouds



Step 11

Now, set that layer on Overlay.



Our picture now looks like this:



Step 12

Press Ctrl+U key (Hue/Saturation), and try to find blue color.



Step 13

Press Ctrl+B on the keyboard and set the options from the picture below.



We're done!
